reactions to the new 'do...

you know how, when a co-worker gets a new hair cut, the reactions usually consist of a squeal, followed by "oh, it's so CUTE!" i haven't heard any of that today in the office. pretty much every reaction starts with "WHOA..." followed by an awkward pause.

some of the highlights (following the word "whoa"):

"Indians 1, Jennifer 0..."
"WHERE ARE YOUR CURLS???"
"what did you do???"
"are you in a contest for the shortest hair in the department?"

oh, i've also been getting another common fun reaction -- people walk by my cubicle... then i hear them stop, pause, and then come back to look, because they're so shocked.

*sigh*. how long does it take hair to grow?

that makes me feel a little bit better.

i had a doll when i was little, where you could cut her hair and then make it grow again by pulling more out from the roots... it was a little freaky, but man i'd kill to be that doll right now. :)

And see, you should always always always be specific when telling your stylist what you want, or else they'll take all sorts of artistic liberties. No matter how much you trust them!

i thought i was pretty specific. i showed her a picture, and said that i wanted that exact cut but with the ears cut out a bit more. instead, she cut it about 2-3 inches shorter, and it is almost shaved on the sides. ack.

Alot of ppl don't like change, so they get shocked when ppl make changes.

WHen i got lazer eye surgery, i went into work and some ppl told me i looked better WITH glasses.
