thank god friday's here.

and i'm working from home, which is even better. i love working from home once in a while, and am so glad my boss is cool with it... i don't have to worry about people coming by my office to talk, i can throw in a load of laundry and listen to music if i want and just get stuff DONE. i have 2 short meetings to call in to, other than that i can hunker down and finish a bunch of random stuff for this project.

the morning didn't start out too well, unfortunately. i was driving home this morning from jack's around 7am, and saw some cars pulled over and a few people on the sidewalk... from what i could tell, it looked like a little dog had been hit by one of the cars. a woman was on the ground, clutching a little ball of fur and rocking back and forth, sobbing. of course, i'm now a mess. the poor little dog, the poor owner (however irresponsible it was for the dog to somehow be able to get off it's leash, i still would never want to be in that poor woman's position). if anything like that ever happened to angus, i would be an absolute mental patient. so needless to say, since i got home angus has been getting a healthy dose of snorgling. ugh.

i may have something upbeat on tap for later this afternoon, we'll see. i could use it.

dear momma:

i know you had a sad morning seeing what happened to that little dog, but that doesn't have to translate into 5 hours of non-stop snorgling me. i know you love me, and i don't always mind when you bury your face in my fur or rub my belly while shouting "GUTULENCE!!!" or smooch that spot on the top of my head. but jeez lady, come up for air. if you want to show me how much you love me, how about putting some more crunchies in that bowl over there? it's been empty since breakfast, and the darn thing doesn't fill itself, you know.

oh -- and i know you're in a laundry frenzy today, but could you please not put my blankie in the wash? i'm not done humping it yet. kthx.
