ow, v. 2.0

i am STILL sore from sunday's workout. for the past 2 days, i have barely been able to walk... and forget navigating stairs. ow, ow, OW. i'm hobbling around like an old lady. i had my second workout with bash (his name rhymes with "posh") at 6 this morning (after 1/2 hour of cardio at 5:30), and when i told him my legs were in agony, he replied with "okay, then we'll do mostly upper body today", and proceeded to kick my ass again. so now i hurt EVERYWHERE. *chuckle* although, heck, it's what i'm paying him for... i wouldn't have worked out today, so he's my $65-an-hour motivation.

otherwise, life is good. D and i have been spending more time together, and i'm really happy... things are slowly progressing, and i'm finding i'm not really in a rush with him. i'm just enjoying every step, having a blast getting to know him, and i don't want to take too big a leap and ruin anything. sunday night we hunkered down on the couch under my big down comforter, and watched "north by northwest" while we chowed down on ribs and brisket from the barbecue place down the street. total blast.

ooh, and my art thingie (the conga girl and tiki print i won on ebay) came today!!! i rushed out after work to get it professionally framed, and discovered 2 things: 1. it's HARD to pick a good frame and mat for artwork! with all the choices, plus the colors in the piece and the colors of the room it'll be in, there's a million different combinations. it took me over an hour to make a decision. and 2. if you want something framed really well, don't be surprised if it ends up costing as much as the art itself. jeez! i'm really happy with everything though... it's matted to bring out the subtle colors in the print, and the frame is a cool dark-stained bamboo, so it'll go with the tiki theme. *grin* now i just have to wait 2 weeks to get it back...
