this "no caffeine" thing is killing me. i am so desperate for a good cup of coffee. *yawn* when this whole colonoscopy thing is over with, i'm eating like a pig and drinking an entire pot of starbucks. *pppfffttt*
ran into my neighbors across the hall last night. this is the impossibly cool, stunningly gorgeous couple with the interesting lives, who you can't hate because they're super-nice as well. i hadn't seen them all summer, and i found out why -- they've been doing a project in NYC all summer. (they're filmmakers or something like that.) last night they were actually heading out again, after being back for one day, to do a 6-week project in BUDAPEST. jesus.
it was funny though... as we were talking, i found out that the guy grew up on a farm in iowa. iowa??? the two of them are like something out of "sprockets" almost, very euro looking with funky glasses and great clothes, and it turns out he's from iowa. excellent.
dancing was interesting last night. i didn't dance much, once again there were like 5 guys and 5 girls, which gets old pretty quick. but i saw something really sweet that had me smiling the whole way home. there's a guy i've mentioned a few times recently, who sort of hinted in the past that he might like me, and i had felt bad about not being interested (especially because he's a complete sweetheart). well, i think he has a new love interest. i watched him last night with a girl who has just started taking dance lessons... he danced with her over and over again, and they were both just beaming as they danced. then they took a break, and went over to the bar to rest for a second... and as they talked, he sort of awkwardly reached over and put his hand around her waist, and she smiled. there's something about seeing two really nice people fall for each other, that is so beautiful. *sigh* it made my night.
