wow.

up at 4:30 this morning. *sigh*. i woke up at 4:00 with a sneeze, and then instead of falling right back to sleep, *ping*! i was wide awake. after tossing and turning for 1/2 hour, i gave up and pattered into the kitchen to brew my pot of starbucks. this is going to be a hell of a long day now... no dancing for me tonight.

i have to drop the cats off at the sitter tonight, so that they're taken care of for my trip. they have it so good while i'm away -- the sitter gives them their own bedroom in her house, with all the toys they could want. when i pick them up after, they look at me like, *rolling eyes* "oh, it's YOU." i miss them so much when i'm gone... it's almost impossible for me to sleep away from home, because i don't have a cat in my arms.

last night monkey (the older cat) and i did our nightly routine: first, before i go to bed, i have to give the 2 of them a snack, or they get pissy. then i get into bed and turn the lights off. a few minutes later, monkey comes in and jumps up on the bed, purring. she smooches my ear as a thank-you, then settles into my arms while i fall asleep. sometimes she'll lie on the pillow, facing me, and put her paw on top of my hand as if she's holding it. other times she backs into my arms so that we're spooning. i fall asleep that way every night, with this fat, fuzzy, rumbling little creature next to me. and usually, if i wake up in the middle of the night, i'll find she's switched positions... she'll get behind me and spoon ME, with her little fuzzy kitty arm around my neck and her face next to mine, snoozing away. my heart just melts.

jeez, i'll miss them.

...for the technologically challenged?

nothing even remotely computer-related has been working for me today. jeez. first i purchased a .mac account, so that i could store pix and link to them from LJ. but for some reason, the pix i have on my computer aren't loading onto the account. grrr. then, i had lunch with a customer at his office... we got to talking about these awesome boston condos, channel center... and he wanted to go online and look at them... the poor man had to download and install quicktime (which took about 10 minutes) to get the virtual tour running, and then the darn thing froze up on him and wouldn't work. oops.

then, this afternoon, i purchased a webcam (because a friend has one, and now i wanna be cool like him)... and it won't install properly. so that's unusable too. i swear to god, i'm like the Typhoid Mary of technology.

in good news, i'm starting to be able to see my weight loss, which RAWKS! the ex noticed it yesterday, and commented that my pants were looking baggy. i didn't weigh myself last week, so i'm not sure how much i'm down now... i'm guessing it's around 10 lbs. but this morning, i put on a suit that was skin-tight 2 weeks ago, and it fit really well... then i tried on some fall clothes in the mall this afternoon, and looking in the dressing room mirror, i could actually see that my hips, butt, and arms are a bit smaller! wahoo! must be all the dancing, it's finally working. now if only i could get my computer-y stuff to work...
