swingchickie | so, i finally found...

...something i don't completely enjoy doing alone. i like going to restaurants by myself (do it several times a week), going to the movies by myself (do it monthly), and the rest i'll leave up to your imagination. *grin* but last night, for the first time, i went to a concert by myself at the theater right down the street... and i was surprised by how different the experience was. it wasn't bad, just not as wonderful as if i had someone to share it with. and oh, the group was paris combo... a wonderful trippy, swingy french group influenced by 20s and 30s jazz, and a lot of their songs have a major django reinhardt feel. they're so ultra-cool.

i am SO glad this week is done. between being completely exhausted (and everyone i know is sick right now) and being back at work after the holidays, i just waited and waited for the weekend. lots of random stuff on tap for today and tomorrow -- i have a mensa meeting this morning (i'm finally turning over publicity duties to someone, and then i'm freeeee!), i might see "ray" this afternoon, and then i'm supposed to go dancing tonight... and tomorrow night a bunch of us are going to watch "dancing with gaia", a movie that the ex and i are extras in, that
