how much sleep did i get last night? 2 hours. "why only 2 hours?" you ask... because the waves of cat vomit continued all through the night, and i am totally freaked out now. i thought everything was fine, i came back from drinks with the_cook (i had a lovely time darling, it was good to visit with you) and the apartment was perfectly clean... then, at 2am, *blooooooorrrrrrrp*... monkey started heaving. once she calmed down, angus took over, and kept going all night... he barfed at least 10 times from 4am til now. mostly on the brand-new blue velvet xmas tree skirt i got last week, i'm glad he's so taken with it. so the vet opens in 10 minutes, and i am calling right away to get them in.

the real irony of this is, i just paid off the last of my debt from last winters' $5000 vet-a-thon... and i promised myself that this coming year, there would be no major cat ailments. obviously i forgot to have the cats promise me the same thing...

My friend told his cat when he was just a kitten that if George (the cat) incured bills in excess of two weeks pay it was time for the big sleep.

$5G for a cat? I wouldnt pay that for my own medical bills. Its time to trade them in for a nice beta fish.
