I just took this quiz last night and scored 80 percent as an anarchist. The write-up was so unflatteringly off that I decided against posting it, although it did claim (correctly) that I hate President Bush. It wasn't worth the ink. Everyone who knows me already knows I think he's a dick.

Somehow I'm not convinced with yours either. I mean, we walked through tarot and witchcraft stores up there in Salem for an entire afternoon and your eyes never lit up so much as they did when you picked up a pumpkin spice candle at Nathaniel Hawthorne's house.

Somehow I think your mom doesn't have to know about this. Mm?

well, first of all, that's because candles are preeeeetty. and they smell nice. *grin* but actually, i went through my tarot/wiccan phase a while back... used to have a tarot deck and was learning to read it... and a professor of mine in college was convinced i was a witch (because i used to pierce my fingernails and wear earrings in them). and i do follow my horoscopes, and sometimes get unnerved by them, although i've never changed my actions based on them. but some of the other stuff it says in the buddhist profile, i have to admit, was pretty right. hmmm.

Meh. I had a professor in college who thought I was going to cure cancer. Hasn't happened yet. And fingernail-piercing is just a fashion statement, albeit an unusual one.

That said, I think there's room enough in all faiths for following your heart - it's not exclusively a Buddhist trait. One of your great beauties is knowing deep down what the just or fair thing to do for another person is, and then having the strength and purpose to do it. I think the effort exhausts you and you seldom have enough energy to spend on yourself. This, too, is piety, with all its consequences - your bright inner light and your tragedy both.

So don't worry too much about your mom. I'm sure she's proud of you, and she should be.
