monday morning... *yawn*

darn cats started waking me up at 4am to be fed. i really need to get one of those dishes with a timer, so that it opens automatically and they'll leave me alone. i can't go through aother year exhausted in the mornings...

the baby kitty had yet ANOTHER emergency room visit. after his scare friday with his allergic reaction, saturday he started vomiting everywhere and got really sluggish. i was coming home from a bridal shower when i talked to the b.f. on my cell and he told me. after 2 hours and $227 worth of x-rays and tests, they determined that is stomach was just upset from the day before. dammit.

the shower was fun, though. the groom is an old college friend, one who i worried back then would never marry. he's an awesome guy, but he never dated in school and was so much more mature than the rest of us... i think he just needed time to grow into himself. his fiancee is amazing, she is funny as hell and very cool. he is so completely happy when they are together, it makes you get all misty. and they look faboo too -- they had both gained a lot of weight since college, and they've been doing the south beach diet for a while now to get healthier. each of them has lost probably 75-100 pounds. the groom looks like he did in college. i was floored at how great they look! and a girl i knew from school was there, hadn't seen her since 1992 (eek!)... it was great to be back in touch, and we promised to hang out now that we live in the same area...

yesterday's dance class kicked my ASS... in a good way. it was hard (because i'm a 33-year-old white girl learning street funk dancing), but really fun. hell of a workout too. i left there wanting to eat so healthy, it was like my body was craving vitamins... i ended up eating a plate of strawberries and drinking a glass of pomegratate/tangerine juice. yum. maybe the nutrients will help me get funkier?

OK, now I have been accused of not being a cat person but..... how often are you willing to take he thing to the emergency room? How much cash are you willing to shell out? It sounds like its defective. You might want to think about returning it and getting a new one. One thats not broken.

i know, you're not the first person to choke at the size of my 2003 vet bills. but the way i look at it, when i adopted him i took on the responsibility of making sure he got good medical care. it sucks to pay those bills, but there's no way i could put him down just for costing me money. if he were dying, i'd absolutely consider it because i wouldn't want him to suffer. but when it's something curable, then i owe it to him to get him feeling better.

plus he's my wittle baby and i wuv him to pieces. *pppfffttt*
