walking to my hair salon today, i passed an odd concrete building with a "for sale" sign on it. i'd seen it before and wondered what it was -- it has only a few windows, and one steel door to get in, so i figured it was some sort of industrial place. here's the view on google.

tonight out of curiosity, i looked it up... and *head explodey* that simple street view is a total fake-out, look what's on the other side!

WANT.

if anyone can lend me $6 million, let me know.

I've walked past that building a zillion times and never even noticed it.
Holy crap. I wonder who lives/lived there.

Taking a closer look, from the looks of the way that kitchen is laid out, I'll bet you a dollar it's someone in the restaurant industry.

Wow. And on top of everything else, it's more secure than most downtown spots - without all the down side that most 'more secure' spots have.

Wow.

I believe this is what Kickstarter is for. And if I've got that wrong, it may be what PayPal and a good website is for. Either way, I'd like to contribute $20 to the cause.

I think it's the "Latimer House," home (http://opa.phila.gov/opa.apps/Search/SearchResults.aspx?id=8804000240) of architect David Slovic (http://slought.org/content/11023/).
