things that made me happy today:

swingchickie1. i got to vote.
2. on the way home from the polls, i walked past a house that always lets their 2 pugs out in the yard. i was walking along, thinking about my voting experience, when the 7:15am silence was pierced by "YARP! YARP! YARP!" i love those 2 little guys, with their mushy faces and buggy eyes. they think they're so tough.
3. the kitties are home now. i have a very purry monkey snuggled in my arms as i type this, which always makes life worthwhile.
4. for the first time in my life, i grilled a steak to perfection. i had half of it with some steamed fresh asparagus for dinner. yum.
5. my mom called today... she told me that during my visit this weekend, she noticed a change in me... for the first time in years, she said, i didn't look like i was in pain or sick or stressed. she could see it in my face. i guess i didn't realize how much all the past illness and stuff had changed me, but i'm glad it's over with!
6. a girlfriend told me this evening that i look like i've lost weight.
