wedding weekend

swingchickiewell, i made it down to philly in one piece. i swear, the drive is starting to fly by... i've done it so many times, the 6 hours feels more like 3. nice. as usual, it was hard to leave because i'll miss the cats... i spent yesterday morning hugging and kissing them, and burying my face in their fur to inhale their clean kitty scent.
i was able to have dinner last night with peter, which was really nice. i haven't seen him in, jeez... 6 weeks? 2 months? well, a long time. we still have our issues to work through, but in the meantime it was just nice to laugh with him across the table and give him a big hug goodbye at my car. he's such a special person to me, and it was great to be with him, even if it was only for a few hours. oh, and he gets extra points for letting me drag him around while i looked for dressy shoes in the mall... i get a bit intense when i'm on the hunt for something, and he just sat back and patiently watched Hurricane Jenn do her thing. kudos.
i fell asleep within an hour of getting to my mom's. i have the place to myself (she's away until this afternoon), and it was a bit creepy to be here by myself, but in the end i was too tired to be creeped out for long. i snored as soon as my head hit the pillow. today is breakfast with my dad, last-minute errands for the wedding, and then the wedding itself is this afternon at 5. i'm so psyched!
