so, my first day on south beach went well. scrambled egg with ham for breakfast, salad with tuna for lunch, a grilled pork chop and salad for dinner. in the evening a girlfriend from work came over and she wanted to order chinese... i actually had some self-control and ordered steamed shrimp and broccoli to eat over the next couple of days. put it right in the fridge when the delivery guy came (and even stayed away from the fortune cookies). i had some of it this morning, sauteed with garlic in a dab of peanut oil.

i lost a pound and a half yesterday... i know it's just water weight, and that i should lose about 1/2 pound a day for the next 2 weeks, but it still made me feel good.

Good on ya for getting back to the diet. Remember the only way to drop the pounds is to mix excercise with diet so I want to hear you're hitting the gym as well. Weight train one day and cardio (read running) the next. And as much as I hate to say it cutting back on the alcohol does wonders for weight loss. Dont take that a preachy its just a formula that worked for me.

If you need the pep talk just let me know. I hit the gym every day and know how difficult diet and excercise are.

well, i did a pilates DVD this morning... i figure some sort of activity each day to start (exercise tape, gym, swing dancing) will rev things up. i've been so sedentary. thanks for the pep talk, you're a total inspiration! ::hug::
