swingchickieif you've never heard of anah reichenbach, she's pretty much the inventor of hoopdance. i just stumbled on this video of her jamming out after a workshop she taught a couple of years ago, and i am so in love with it. not only is her musicality excellent (which is something i always look for in a hooping video, and is sadly usually missing), but she is truly just dancing. except for a few tricks (which are of course mind-blowing), she's just rocking out effortlessly. it's like, "oh here i am shaking it at a club... oh, do i have a hoop around my waist? i hadn't noticed."
i'm bookmarking this video... i need to remember it every time i'm intimidated by someone who can do a bajillion tricks, i need to rememebr that you can have a blast and look super-cool by just working it and having fun.
