I reacted the same way. I guess I'm just particularly moved by things I might not have seen/people might not have been able to do a few years ago.
I was similarly delighted by a lesbian couple at the zoo a few weeks ago. They were there with their son, and all were having a great time. I was just tickled that it was so... ordinary.
