i feel like CRAP today... i think it's a combination of a hangover and the beginning of a cold/flu. oh, today is going to be joyous.
last night's benefit for
naughtyboy was excellent. a lot of people turned out to support him and hear some kick-ass music. there was one band especcialy that got to me, i think they were called "mindfield"... very depeche mode. i put myself on their mailing list for gigs, i definitely want to see them again. there were paintings and photos on exhibit and for sale by different artists, and forrest had done a display of some of the photos from his surgery (they are on his LJ... they're graphic, but also really fascinating). he's looking wonderful now... the arm still has a long way to go, but his energy is up and he looked really upbeat last night. i seriously got misty seeing how far he's come in just a couple of months. i'm so proud of him.
last night was the first night in a long time that i'd gone to any bar or club... i've been such a hermit this year. as forrest put it, i got to "get my goth on". which basically meant wearing a lot of black, which is all i wear. except i got to break out the fishnets and my awesome boots, these monster knee-high leather things with straps all around. i love those boots. i was sure, though, that everyone was looking at me and thinking, "who's the old bag pretenting to be goth? poser." who cares, i had a blast. and drank too much... i only got a bit of a buzz, but that's not cool on a school-night. the b.f. came to bed last night and i was already half asleep... and it went:
b.f.: *sniff, sniff*
me: what?
b.f.: no, i just smell something.
me: is it my perfume?
b.f.: no. it's vodka.
ugh. how nasty to go to bed reeking of the bottle. LOL i guess 3 drinks will do that to ya.
oh, and can someone explain to me... i got a shirt last night (xmas present from leanne) at the show, it was one of the band's shirts i think... and it said on the front "blood is a lubricant". i thought it was a hoot, sort of a whole goth-type thing. then the b.f. looks at it and goes "eew." i'm like, "what?" he says, "it's talking about doing it during that time of month." i never even THOUGHT of that... there's no way i can wear it if that's what it means. i'm so dumb.

Date: 2003-12-22 01:46 pm (UTC)As for your shirt... For the intended meaning you might want to contact the band. However when I see that I feel it refers to rough sex primarily rough anal sex. I am a big advocate of lube when it comes to anal (specifically Platinum Wet, available at better adult stores everywhere) but there are some times you just want to fuck her till she bleeds. I'm off to eat some meat and overload on testosterone.
