i have a brand-new XM radio system!!! wahoo!!!! and i got it for only $50, because i had a gift card to the best buy store for $150!!!! and why did i get n XM radio, you may ask? well, 1. the stations they have are really good, i became addicted the last time i rented a car that had it and 2. opie and anthony start their new XM radio show on 10/4, after a 2-year hiatus!!!! i've been waiting all that time for them to come back on the air, and yes it's worth the subscription fee because they are hysterically juvenile. i got the last XM system in the whole store, they've been selling out all over the country because of O&A's return next month, so i called and had my store hold the last one they had for me. the sales guy, when i drove to get it, was pretty shocked when he saw me, a 33-year-old woman in a suit and heels, buying this specifically for O&A. being a fan himself, he was like, "wait... you mean this isn't a gift for someone?" he was impressed that i was not the typical O&A listener -- 20 years old and a frat boy. ::chortle::

went to the doctor today to find out why i turned purple the other night. ::har, har:: they think it was an allergic reaction to something i ate at wednesday's party. (good call, [livejournal.com profile] naughtyboy.) and they think the stomach pain and nausea that started last week is due to... gallstones. (good call, [livejournal.com profile] swingdoc.) oh, YAY. now i have to get an ultrasound next week. add that to my list of ailments. have i mentioned i'm 90 years old?

tonight will be great. went out for dinner, bought a cheesy beauty mag, low-fat frozen yogurt, and some new bubble bath, and i plan on having a girly night in and then snoring my 9pm. heaven.

Congrats on XM. I love it. Not that I don't make use of the variety of stations, but I find myself on 44 or 54 most of the time.

I miss O&A since the show went off the air in New York and have been thinking about paying the extra couple of bucks a month.

i'm sure it'll be worth it. especially considering you can listen to them at any time of day... it's live in the morning, and then rebroadcast for the next 24 hours.

in the meantime, i've been listening to online clips. can't find any of the show where they did the "staple gun russian roulette" though... that's my favorite. ::chuckle::

On an entirely different note, I just looked at the results of my poll yesterday, and I have one thing to say:

Oh, baby, youuuuuuuu, you got what I neeeeeeeed ...

Oddly enough, a friend of mine from Boston had that played during his wedding reception. It got a heartier response from everyone than "Mony Mony" does at trashy weddings!

NO WAY!!!!

NO FREAKING WAY!!

(i feel so justified. .. although i should hold my "i was right" dance til after the ultrasound)

and we MUST talk about who i'm going to let take out your gallbladder, should it come to that. :)

i know... can i tell you, when my NP said it might be that, the first words out of my mouth were that you'd called it weeks and weeks ago. but... the other possibility is an ulcer, and in looking at the symptoms, it looks suspiciously like that. it's like, "hm.... get my gallbladder taken out? or get an endoscopy?" ugh, i don't want either!

wait a mullet. . .i thought you had an upper and lower endoscopy?! if you had an upper, i don't see where repeating it would be as helpful as an ultrasound. if you haven't had one, an ultrasound is still less invasive.

ulcer pain is usually a constant pain, not an "in waves" pain. whatever it is, i just hope it gets taken care of soon, cause you are one of the most alive people i know, and i hate seeing you not able to live because of this. it just ain't fair.

nope, i had a lower endoscopy and an upper x-ray. so we're doing an ultrasound (hopefully this week), and if that doesn't show anything, i guess we do the upper scope.

as far as the ulcer pain, i'm just going off of what i read in the merck manual (*grin*)... doesn't wake you at night, fine in the morning, builds mid-morning, is relieved temporarily by eating and then gets worse after. that's pretty much what's been going on.

i just want this to be oooovverrrrrrr......
