between sugar withdrawal and stress, i'm really feeling snacky tonight. trying really hard to be good... my mantra is something i read last week on kylecassidy's LJ that really hit home: do not sacrifice that which you want most in the world, for what you want most right now.

why am i stressed? well, there's a chance that duck still has ringworm. i got a voicemail that his current test results are, i believe the term they used was "iffy". which is odd, considering that last weekend the message was that he was looking clear. gah! so i had to cancel his neuter appointment for tomorrow, and will be eagerly awaiting the call from the vet tomorrow morning to tell me what the heck is going on. i'm crossing my fingers that it's all OK, considering that i've let him chase angus around and have the run of the house for several hours a day this week. sigh.

since i'm not mainlining carbs tonight, i'm entertaining myself with a bubble bath and the latest episode of "FlashForward" (so, so good). and uploading some pictures of Hurricane Duck:

tearing down the curtains in the front hall... i think this was the 3rd or 4th time he'd done it in a couple of days...

He's such a manly teenager now! I can't believe how much he's grown! He really looks amazing. I still think of him as a half-dead-looking kitten covered in burrs, sitting in a cardboard box at the farmer's market.

If it makes you feel any better, Michelle and I just found a cat in my garden with a horrific case of ringworm--it's so bad that I refused to touch the cat and put it in my bathroom without even bothering to check if it's a boy or a girl. It'll be a miracle if I/my many animals don't get infected. Ughhh, ringworm!

he's gorgeous, isn't he??? i can't even imagine him as the way you guys have described... he's so energetic and smart and funny. and last night, twice he snuggled up next to me for 1/2 hour at a time and purred and patted my nose over an over... i could have died from teh cute.

i think he's going to be fine, i've been searching all over him and i don't see any signs that he's still fungus-y. we'll see what the vet says.
