Sep. 2nd, 2004 06:40 amso... sleepy...
had to sleep on the sofa last night. i did laundry yesterday, and it was drying all over my bed... so i grabbed a blanket and hit the couch. the cats kept me up allllll night, they do it every time i sleep out there. they knock stuff off the table, they scratch the sofa arms, they yowl... dunno what it is about me sleeping there, but they want me awake the whole time. so today's going to be a looong day.
good news is, the laundry looks good. oxy-clean really gets coffee out of sheets. lol
yesterday was move-in day for all the boston college students. what a nightmare. we have like a billion colleges and universities within a 10-mile radius: harvard, MIT, tufts, emerson, berklee, lesley, boston college, boston university... and everyone decided to move into their apartments yesterday. the city and surrounding towns were mobbed with thousands of u-haul trucks parked badly, and teenagers and their parents hauling bookcases and stuff out in the middle of every street. it took me over an hour to get home, which is usually a 15-minute drive. and it means all the student drivers are back, too... doubling the number of really bad motorists we have on the boston streets. welcome back.
tried to watch tv last night for a bit. i turned on "law and order" at 7pm, and ended up turning it off. which is amazing for me, 'cause it's my favorite show EVER. but i'd seen the episode before, and instead of watching it anyway (which i would have done before), i got bored with it and read instead. wow, what's happening to me?????
