wow, has it really been 3 days since i last posted? i am STILL feeling the leftovers of this cold, it's just kicked my butt royally for the last week. meh. new year's eve jack and i just sat around in our PJs, popping mucinex and passing the box off tissues back and forth. since then it's been a steady routine of watching TV, playing gin on the computer, and having the occasional meal... only thing that changes is whether it's at jack's house or mine on any given day. yeah, we're a blast.

we did leave the house to see a matinee of "slumdog millionaire" yesterday... really, really good movie. but that's been pretty much our entire week, that one outing. we were supposed to go dancing last night, hazel and tybalt were in town and were going to be at la luna... but i was so wiped out, and my head so ouchy from this sinus infection, i had to bail.

sigh. i hope this start to the year isn't a predictor of how the next 362 days will go. one thing i *did* do today, though, was something i've been meaning to tackle for sevearl months now -- cleaning my home office. i wish i had "before" photos so i could show the before and after, because it looks a million times better... piles of bills and papers have been shredded, i've organized all my hoop tapes, filed away the stacks of papers sitting on the floor... i don't have to step over anything to get into the room now, and can see the surface of my desk. major win. now i just have to pull together all my hoop business receipts for the year to get ready for my taxes next month... that's a major undertaking in itself.
