Oct. 28th, 2008 06:40 ami'm really looking forward to exercising again. my back's been pretty decent the last day or two, but i wanted to wait a bit longer... i had visions of going overboard in hoop practice and having it seize up again, which would not be good. tonight's my salsa class, so i'll see how i feel afterwards... maybe thursday will be a good hoop night. i've got my lesson plan for the workshop, now i'm looking forward to running through it live over the next few weeks and making some tweaks.
philly peeps -- if any of you want a free private lesson in november, i'd love some guinea pigs. my place or yours.
last night was a really nice night, exactly what i wanted out of my birthday. i came home a bit early from work, took a bubble bath and read some magazines, and made a WW-friendly baked ziti for me and jack... watched anthony bourdain reruns on TV and then fell asleep in front of the rained-out phillies game. bliss. jack got me the best card ever -- the cover has a girl hooping, and you turn a teeny crank and the hoop moves around her waist. i am saving that forever.
november and december are looking pretty sweet. i have a bunch of unused vacation time, so yesterday i mapped it all out and now have a day or two blocked off every couple of weeks... including almost the entire week of thanksgiving. w00t!

Date: 2008-10-29 12:17 am (UTC)while the pasta is boiling, chop and sautee the garlic in 2 tsp olive oil, then add the ground beef to the pan... brown the ground beef, drain off the fat, and then add in the can of tomatoes, along with 1 tsp each of oregano, rosemary, and thyme.
once everything's cooked up, put a teeny bit of the sauce in the bottom of a 3-qt baking dish... then top with 1/2 the pasta, 1/2 the sauce mix, and 1/2 the cheese. then do another layer of the rest of the pasta, sauce, and cheese. bake uncovered 1/2 hour at 350 degrees. the pan is 8 servings.
