fun fun FUUUUN!

swingchickiegot up at crack-o'clock this morning to bring those 2 hoops to the preston and steve morning show at WMMR. (i wanted to drop them off early enough that i'd still make it to work on time.) got to the station around 7am, and there was no way in the office that early... so after multiple calls to the listener line, i finally got through and told them i was out in the hall. hee.
the whole crew couldn't have been nicer. they had me sit in the studio with them and listen in for about 1/2 hour, and during breaks asked me all kinds of questions about the hoops -- why they were so big, how i make them, etc. kathy remembered the hoops i brought them last winter during their campout for hunger, and marissa grabbed the red one at one point and started hooping in the corner.
when i asked for a photo before i left, they were immediately like, "sure!". yay! kathy and marissa jumped in one of the hoops, and the rest of the crew gathered around. BUT, the nervous listener i handed the camera to had shaky hands and, well, this is what came out:
oh, well. i still have the memory (and will get to see my hoops in use on their webcam!).

Date: 2008-09-04 01:54 pm (UTC)Related: I was helping out Y-Rock at a free concert in Rittenhouse Square last night, and alllll the way on the other side of the park I caught a glimpse of a girl doing a hoop workout. I didn't have a chance to ask if it was a Tailspin design she was using, but it was certainly big and stripey enough to be... one can hope, eh?
