swingchickie | ikea, i love you so.

for the past several days, i've been waiting for my local ikea to get in a shipment of their "solsta" sofabeds for my new room... silly me for not realizing that a $149 sofabed would sell out in 30 seconds during the height of back-to-school shopping. sigh. today i called and they had just arrived... so i ran over at lunchtime to buy my little sofa-in-a-box and get them to deliver it to my house.

i wheeled my solsta over to the home delivery counter and asked when it could be delivered. the counter girl checked her computer: "the earliest we could do would be today between 2 and 6." i looked at the clock -- it was 12:30. how could they deliver it any earlier, go back in time???

so sometime in the next few hours i'll have my awesome little sofabed. whee! AND, even BETTER, when i got home just now my delivery guy was dropping off the suit and pants i'd had custom-made in hong kong. it's like christmas! hee!
