happys and sads

happy: a couple bought my deck off of craigslist, and are here to take it home.
sad: they didn't think it through and can't fit it in their u-haul... now jack is out there in the heat helping them to take it apart. not worth the $50 they gave me for it.

happy: i got an order for 2 hoops from a repeat customer today.
sad: for some reason they didn't get charged for the shipping (i don't know why, it's in the code for my shopping cart), so now i'm out $20 on the order.

NOOOOOOO.
We weeded the front yard in 89 degree heat yesterday and only managed to be able to work on it for 20 minutes or so. It looks OK for now but I think there's roots undergrounds saying, "oh, thank you for making it easier for us to grow BIG AND FAT without those pesky leaves to maintain."

It is permissible, IMHO, to contact them about the shipping cost mistake and offer them a smaller discount or a refund.

(Guess it's time to pick up your own credit card and run through your shopping cart a couple different ways, make sure it doesn't happen!)

i have gone through and ordered, which is the odd thing... i write to paypal to see what else the problem could be, because the shipping charges are in the code for every single hoop (i checked). hrm.

Mmm, I just walked through to the last step and couldn't figure out how to rip you off either!

Found the problem - if you add a SECOND hoop, shipping drops to zero! I dunno why, but at least you can reproduce the problem now!

that's exactly what happened when i tried it -- as soon as you add another hoop (or two or three), the shipping goes bye-bye. i'm wondering if the code for the shopping cart is wrong? i sent another message to paypal explaining it, so we'll see what they say...
