Pancake Krimpets*!

no, i'm not kidding. i read about them in the city paper last week, and started hunting around for them... finally found some in my local wawa and just had to buy a package. (or 4.) darn if they don't actually taste like pancakes, with butter-flavored cream filling and maple syrup-flavored icing!



*non-philly peeps: these are little snack cakes made by Tastykake... they are normally yellow cake with butterscotch icing.

I am sooo going to Wawa. I love the regular butterscotch Krimpets (total guilty pleasure), but these maple ones sound really awesome. Nom nom nom!

i like the butterscotch ones, but IMO these are better. they're also doing "alex's lemonade stand" lemon, and strawberry (yum).

all you need is some canned bacon, and you have a well-rounded breakfast!

The other filled cakes use a gelatin base in the filling. I wonder if these use gelatin, too. Otherwise, I'd probably try them once, anyway.
