absolutely amazing. last night i was a red-faced, feverish mess wondering if i should go back to the ER and praying that some tylenol would bring my fever down. cut to this morning -- i woke up after 10 hours of sleep, sweaty but fever-less and with a little bit of an appetite. yay! i always know i'm starting to feel better after being sick when i have an overwhelming desire to clean (it's the ONLY time i get that!)... i've already done the dishes, thrown my nasty sheets and jammies in the wash, and opened up all the windows to air out this stale disease-y house. that's about all the energy i'll be able to muster for the day, outside of clicking my remote from the couch, but it's a hell of a lot better than yesterday. whew.

in the 2 days i've been home sick, i've missed 2 of my bushes bursting into bloom, one pink and one white. they're beautiful. and one of the pink-blossomed trees in my front yard is starting to drop its petals, so my driveway is covered with what looks like pale pink snow. have i mentioned how much i love spring?

It's funny; my friend [livejournal.com profile] mellybrelly just got over a seriously nasty bout of flu/bronchitis, and a couple of days ago made pretty much the same post. "I'm full of energy and I'm cleaning and I'm out of my PJs and this house will look so good by the time I'm done and there are pink blooms outside and it's so good not to be sick!" :P

Glad you're feeling better!
