two totally unrelated things:

swingchickie1. i am loving facebook much more than i thought. not because of all the weird applications and groups and random things you can send people and i don't get why ("fred has sent you an ear of corn!")... but because of all of the peeps from grade school and high school i'm finding again. the freakiest thing? a girl who i knew in high school has a guy on her friend's list -- i went to grade school with the guy in KUWAIT. i almost fainted when i got an e-mail from her saying, "hey, how do you know waleed?" hee! more and more girls from my graduating class are signing up, so i'm able to see photos of them, and everyone looks EXACTLY the same. it's a riot. i can't wait to see them at our reunion this fall.
2. one thing i didn't post about last week's vacation: jack was an absolute dreamboat of a boyfriend. he's always awesome, but he was practically my cabana boy all week. i'd be reading under an umbrella by the pool, and he'd go, "hey, the sun is starting to peek under there, let's move the umbrella a bit." and he'd drag this giant umbrella with a weighted stand back a foot or so to keep me shaded. this was ALL day, EVERY day. when the sun shifted too much, he'd grab our stuff and move us to an umbrella in a different area that afforded more shade. he was like my skin cancer police. when he rented our cabana on the last day, he grabbed a bunch of grapes and fed them to me. (yes, i did it to him as well, i'm not a total princess.) and one of the first mornings we were there, he woke up at 8:30am and realized that people might be claiming lounge chairs by the pool already... so he threw on shorts and a t-shirt, ran down to put some towels over a couple of chairs for us... and then came back up to the room with a caramel latte for me to wake me up. what a sweetheart. *swoon*
