back in the saddle again
Apr. 21st, 2008 06:00 ami feel pretty lucky that i only gained 2 pounds during last week's vacation*, considering that jack and i ate pretty much whatever we wanted (especially if it was frozen, contained creme of coconut, and came mixed with rum in a glass). granted, i was up a few pounds even before that, so at this point i'm down only 4 or 5 pounds from the beginning of the year. i want to change that.
starting today, i'm back full-force on weight watchers. i've been going to the weigh-ins despite the pounds creeping up, now i just need to start eating right again and... yes... exercising. i set the alarm for 5 this morning, and did my "hip hop abs" DVD, and i feel really good... my big hope is that i'll remember this feeling every morning when 5am hits. i figure if i make a 1/2-hour workout a part of my regular weekday morning routine (and just make 5am my new wake-up time instead of 6am), then i won't feel as pressured to exercise when i get home from work and am exhausted.
i'm also debating getting rid of thisisntadiet.com. it's been weeks since i've posted on there, and i don't have the energy to keep those posts going along with the tailspin site and this blog. i'll hold onto it for a bit, but in the meantime i'm going to do my weight loss posts here... a number of you are on my "weight loss" filter from a while back, if you aren't on it and would like to be just reply here and i'll add you.
*one thing that really inspired me was seeing a girl by the pool, who had IMO a pretty perfect body. she wasn't skinny, she was curvy and muscular and just looked really healthy. if i could get to that point, to be down to a better fighting weight without feeling like i need to completely get rid of my booty and hips, i'd be in heaven. :)

Every year, at this time, i feel horrible , especially since it's getting warm enough for summer clothes.
good luck!
