yesterday i had a major endeavor to tackle: sift through all of my stored clothes, and bag some to donate to charity. i was dreading it, because i have a TON of clothes stored away... some of them are my summer clothes, but most are clothes that i haven't fit into in years, and have been holding on to them until i lose weight. well, i finally got real and admitted that it would be quite a while before i fit into them again, and i probably wouldn't wear a lot of them once i can, because i'll want to go out and buy cute new stuff. so i was BRUTAL -- i bagged up anything that, if i were 60 pounds thinner tomorrow, i wouldn't be putting on immediately.

the end result was crazy -- when i started out, i had 4 giant storage bins and 3 large boxes full of clothes and shoes that i haven't worn in years, they took up most of my spare bedroom space... when i was finished, i was down to 2 bins of clothes that i will absolutely wear (more than half of them are summer clothes that fit me right now), and everything else was stuffed into 4 big lawn and leaf bags to donate to Purple Heart on tuesday. whoa.

i was so inspired when i was through, i dropped the rest of my cleaning plans and headed out to hit the big shopping megaplex nearby... first i hit ikea, so i could get ideas for decorating the spare bedroom (now that it's not full of storage bins)... while i was there, i ended up buying an adorable comforter cover set ($9.99!) that's covered with yellow champagne bubbles. i put it on the bed last night, and it makes me so happy to look at! :) THEN, i hit DSW shoe warehouse to see if i could find a pair of black closed-toe pumps for work... i walked out with 4 PAIRS of gorgeous shoes! whee!

finally i put away my smoking debit card, and today jack and i headed to reading to see jeff dunham in concert. the tickets were my anniversary gift to jack back in december... he loves jeff dunham, and got me into him when we were on our trip to palm springs in the fall. for those of you not familiar with his work, he's a comedian/ventriloquist who's incredibly talented. his "achmed the dead suicide bomber" puppet is hysterical:

(yes, the clip is worth 10 minutes, go watch it. :)) the entire week we were in CA, we quoted this bit... jack and i were going around shrieking to each other, "i keel you!!!!"

anyway... that was my weekend. now it's time to snuggle up with angus and get ready for the week. OOH! and tomorrow is the first day i go back to monday night WCS level 3 classes -- turns out they're starting a WCS performance class that'll meet right after the level 3, so it'll be much more worth the 2-hour round trip drive to get there now!
