roofies, part II
Nov. 11th, 2007 05:23 pmjack and his 2 friends have been working up on my roof since about 1pm. thank god they're a little more than halfway done, 'cause it's dark already and they're up there trying to work with a big clip-on spotlight thing.
a few minutes ago, jack called down to me: "guess what we've found up here so far?" i nervously asked him what. "well, besides the old rotten plywood, and 50-year-old insulation that no-one has replaced since the house was built... we've found several birds nests... with eggs still in them." (yes, they're old nests, no idea why they were abandoned with eggies in there.)
that poor roof is a total mess... yet another thing i feel misled on. le sigh. i'll just be happy when it's all better... and i am so eternally grateful to jack and his friends for doing most of the labor and helping arrange everything. no lie, they're saving me about $3000 that i didn't have. i have the best boyfriend ever. :)
