such a great weekend!!!

swingchickielots of little cool stuff that added up to a big fun weekend...
friday: had the day off. did a boatload of cleaning around the house that i've been putting off for months, which was a huge weight off my shoulders. found a new pair of jammies that are covered in... shoes! ("these shoes rule!") made a hoop to bring to saturday's arts festival. spent 2 hours at the salon getting a hair makeover: a darker red/auburn color with honey highlights. (loooove it!) went out for a sushi date with jack to celebrate the new 'do.

boutell's little one. headed into the city with all 3 hoops for the 40th street arts festival, where j-hoop (jennifer, the girl who teaches hooping here in town) had a pile of hoops and was showing people how to do the basics. spent a couple of hours getting sweaty and exhausted working through some tricks i'd been trying... managed to shoulder-hoop in a squat, as well as leap through the hoop like a jump rope (hard to do indoors, but much easier outside!) went back to jack's, where he grilled up some pork chops for dinner... being the awesome boyfriend he is, he downloaded over 6 hours of 60's lounge music, and we sat on his patio with the tiki torches lit, drinking pina coladas and hooping AGAIN as we waited for the meteor shower to start. we managed to see a couple of really cool ones once we spread a blanket on his lawn later in the evening... i have the mosquito bites behind my ears and all over my legs to prove it!
today: another sleep-in day. aaaah. just got back from seeing "the bourne supremacy", i highly recommend it. SO much fun! now i'm off to make a few more hoops, and get ready for the busy week ahead.
