if any of you would like to set your diet back by about 3 months, i have the solution for you: have dinner at the melting pot.

i took jack there for his birthday last night... it was awesome, but WHOA do you pay for it. we did the standard 4-course meal: cheese fondue, caesar salad, coq au vin fondue, and then chocolate fondue swirled with bailey's. we pretty much rolled out of there, and this morning i reek of garlic and feel like i swallowed a brick. bleh.

would i go there again? yep... in about 3 years, once i'm done digesting this.

We (heart) the Melting Pot, but I feel your pain. Delish - but there's a price to pay.

Coming...

They recently opened a Melting Pot here (Natick Mall area). I hadn't been since I moved from PA in '99. We took a friend for her birthday, and I tried to eat "carefully" but you can only do so much when swimming in cheese and chocolate. The hard part is that people keep hearing about it for the first time, and then you get "Ooh, I'd love that. Let's go so I can try it." And it's hard for people to understand "No, the place is great. I just don't want to go back." Until they've gone themselves.

I saw a pic on my LJ for this post. I don't see it here. Pretending that you know what I'm talking about...is it picture a cheeseburger with a bun made froma donut?

it is... there's a ballpark somewhere that created a nwe burger last year, it's a big cheeseburger where they use a split Krispy Kreme as the bun.
