rainy days and sundays
Apr. 15th, 2007 06:16 pmalways get me-eee dowwwwnnnn...
bleh, what a rainy mess today. my lawn is a total lake, my kitchen ceiling is leaking again, and my gutters are too full of leaves to shuttle anything down the spouts, so everything's just pouring off the roof. srsly, this all needs to DRY the FRIG UP before my house falls down.
at least being stuck indoors, boyfriend-less for the weekend, meant... more hooping! i did another hour this morning, and got stronger at the regular waist spinning... i also finally nailed some spirals, which look freaking cool, and 360-degree spins within the hoop (also really cool). oh, and walking around while keeping the hoop moving... that's super-hard. a few more tricks and i'll have gone through the whole beginner DVD... so i followed
bohemianrapsody's lead and bought the DVD released by hoopgirl. there's a heck of a lot more on it than the one i have, and should keep me busy for weeks.
J e-mailed me to let me know the songs are almost finished. he's changed some of the lyrics, which i'm not thrilled about... he hates rhymes, whereas i'm really rhyme-y in my writing, so we used to butt heads on that all the time. i have "standards" in my head when i write, and he's mr. avant-garde opera man. i shouldn't have been surprised when he said he "took some of the rhymes out", but it still kinda boiled my blood. i think american idol is more on the rhyming-song end of the spectrum, but who knows, maybe the tune will be brilliant.
