trip out west

swingchickieso, i had this whole long thing i was gonna post about my trip to scottsdale, AZ this week. but i'm still exhausted and i'm late for work... so instead, i'll give you the condensed version:
2 hour wait in the line for the USAir ticket counter, due to their stupid kiosks not working. lots of shouty, angry people around me. scary takeoff into 110mph winds that threw the plane around. 6 hour flight to phoenix. awesome car rental for the week (cream-colored pt cruiser). beautiful 80-degree weather. up at 4am on both days to deal with a haywire project before i headed to work. dinner at a place called "pink taco", with pink and black glitter menus (aaaiiieee!). flight home cancelled, so my first class upgrade went bye-bye. stuck in coach on the next flight with an old man with horrible breath. touchdown at 10:30pm, gate at 11, luggage at 12. had parked on the roof of the garage, so had to stand up there in the freezing cold (wearing a windbreaker) at midnight scraping 2 inches of ice off my car.
but came home at 1am to a shovelled driveway and walkway, and a fixed front door, both surprises courtesy of mah awesome boyfrien'. whom i thanked by falling asleep mid-sentence (yes, as *i* was talking) as we caught up on the week.
