just came home from a 3-day meeting in florida. as usual, i barely saw the outside of the hotel... i had a drink with a former co-worker by the pool for an hour on the first day, and grabbed dinner offsite the second day, and that was it. the rest of the time it was work, work, work. woo.

but, relaxation is on the horizon... the boy and i are officially going on a cruise now! w00t! i booked everything yesterday, and i couldn't be more psyched. a 5-night carribbean cruise (including shore excursions on each island) on a well-regarded cruise line, and the only thing we have to pay for is the plane tickets. well, i also decided to upgrade to a bigger room with a balcony for $200... but still, $100 plus a $200 plane ticket per person is a heck of a lot better than $1400 per person. now i just have to start sticking more closely to the diet, so i can wear some cute outfits on the ship! wheeeee!

anyone who's cruised before, if you have any helpful hints, i will gladly take them. i read an online helpful hint guide that was written by a couple who must have been in their 80s... they said that it's a good idea to get a bunch of $2 bills from the bank before you go, and hand one to each waiter, etc. at the beginning of the cruise because it'll get you better service for the week. o-kayyyyyyy... i think that'll get you talked about behind your back more than anything. so tips from someone younger than 80 would be great. :)

wooooohooooooo CRUISE!!!

Yup tip a waiter the first drink you get and he will be forever your friend:) He will learn your name and fill your drink as soon as your other is done.

Every night the dinner in the formal dinning room is a MUST. Food is sooooooo sooooooooo good and everywhere, so plan on gaining for SURE. The ship i was on had a seating arrangement so every night we sat with the same ppl, which i thought was really fun. Unless of course you're stuck with old uptight ppl.

I actually went on the website for the ship and seen the exact room i was staying in.

Booking excursions is a great idea, or else you just end up walking around not really knowing what your doing or where to go.

You are going to have a blast!!!!
