swingchickieBUCKS COUNTY PLAYHOUSE ANNOUNCES 2007 AUDITION DATES
The Bucks County Playhouse has its 2007 Auditions scheduled in two locations. Auditions will be held in New Hope, Pennsylvania and in New York City at Nola Studios. All roles are open and anyone seen in either location will be considered for both job-in and seasonal employment. Details for both auditions are below. Dates for Children's Auditions have not been set yet.
AUDITION LOCATION - NEW HOPE, PENNSYLVANIA
Adult Auditions (ages 16 and over) have been set for the 2007 Season at the Bucks County Playhouse for Saturday, February 24, 2007. Actors should be prepared to sing and dance. An accompanist will be provided. The Playhouse season consists of musicals including, Godspell, Seussical the Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, West Side Story, Crazy for You, 42nd Street, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Pippin. This is an open audition with actors and actresses being seen in the order they arrive. No appointments will be taken. All roles are paid positions. Salary ranges per week: Principals: $300 - $400; Secondary Leads: $250 - $300; Ensemble: $200 - $250; Interns: $100 - $175. It is requested that you bring a headshot and resume to the audition and actors will be seen on a first come basis. Auditions will be held at the Bucks County Playhouse located at 70 South Main Street in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Audition date and times are below.
This season, productions at the Bucks County Playhouse will not travel to the Pocono Playhouse so local actors are strongly encouraged to audition. Job-In positions are available as well as seasonal employment.
You must sign-up for an audition time slot on the date of the audition. Official sign-up will begin at 9:30 am. Sign-up will stop for the men at noon, and for the women at 3 pm. Do not arrive at the end of the designated time slot and intend to be seen. Casting will be completed by March 30, 2007 and it is requested that you do not call the Playhouse after the audition to inquire about casting decisions.
Those auditioning will be required to sing a 16 bar vocal selection. Please prepare something from the shows listed above. Those auditioning should bring sheet music for the Playhouse accompanist. Do not bring tapes or cds.
