...go see it. even if you're the world's biggest george w. fan, go see it. it has its flaws, but it's very thought-provoking and makes for good dinner conversation afterwards. i won't give any details since it's just out and i don't want to spoil it for anyone... but it was a good movie.

Its a huge piece of crap that should not be billed as a "documnetary". Liberal propagandist Moore's so called "facts" are nothing but pure fantasy. Even the leftist NY Times has rebuked his assumptions and notes this is more of a political letter to the editor than a film about truth. Seeing this film is handing money to the enemy just as much as buying heroin is puting cash in their hands.

actually, from everything i've read about the movie, no-one has been able to refute the information he presents in it. much of the movie is footage he's gained from various sources, things that he didn't film but were filmed by news outlets, etc. and the images speak for themselves. the one thing i didn't like was that he presents information and then doesn't always let it reach a conclusion, he just leaves it hanging there. i agree that michael moore has a tendency toward the dramatic and overblown, but this was an interesting movie and something that will spark many a watercooler conversation.

for people who read this and didn't see the movie yet, the NY times review (which i thought was fair and presented the movie correctly) is a good place to start.

In the NYTimes article that came out a week ago (which I have throw away by now but should be availble online) the reviewer acknowledged the film was a blatant attack on Bush and the boundary lines of a documentary had been blurred. It went on to say that moore made the movie in an attempt to unseat Bush and get kerry elected. It is nothing but a democratic propaganda piece a fact not denied by moore. It is such a slanted movie that the Federal Election Commission is looking into whether showing ads for it goes against the rules set down for election ads. A true documentary should be unbiased and present facts, see any of the superb Ken Burns films for reference.
