Dec. 11th, 2006 09:38 amlots of thoughts of star this morning. it's a comfort to look at my friend's list and see all the awesome memories of her... the great photos (she was so freaking gorgeous, and photos never did her justice) and everyone's accounts of time they spent with her and some of her razor-sharp writing, like this comment in
ms_violet's LJ.
some of us got together last night in delaware to drink and eat and talk it all out. the beautiful thing was that, even though we were so sad, it was so hard to keep from grinning as we talked about her. every memory was about something funny or completely kickass that she did. i still think about the september sex dwarf, when robert announced the halloween "come as a new wave star" costume party... and my little lightbulb went on and i turned to star and said, "we should totally go as the go-go's from the 'beauty and the beat' album cover!" and without hestitation, she was like, "hell yeah! who else can we get???" there wasn't an iota of concern about wearing a towel in public, she just jumped in and figured out who else could be part of the party.
i spent about an hour this morning rocking out to jonathan coulton songs, especially "code monkey" and "re: your brains" (from what i recall, she liked those the best). anyone who knew her knows what a zombie fanatic she was... you can go here or to itunes and listen to "re: your brains" yourself and share in the zombie-riffic-ness. i'm still planning on going to his show at milkboy on saturday... oh, you can bet i'll be requesting those songs and singing my ass off. if anyone would like to come along, let me know.
i haven't lost my shit yet, i'm sure it's coming. in good time.
*hugs* to all you guys.

Being more gung-ho than I, she read the credits, found the website and announced she was going to his show.
And that is the story on how we saw Coulton and Boggia.
