swingchickie | what i learned from the "Hula-Ween" party last night:

1. costume party = fun to plan. THEMED costume party = MORE fun to plan!

candy corn in seashells!

skeletons doing the hula!

a polynesian potluck!

2. don't isten to your mother when she tells you it's impossible to make a jack o'lantern out of a pineapple.

3. guy in a "cow-abunga" suit = funny. guy in a "cow-abunga" suit who brings a buffet of milkshakes and speaks in an indian accent = more funny.

4. i now know what i'm going to look like in about 5 years. (and she's single, boys... get 'er while you can!)

(in case you were wondering, i went as one of those old ladies who tans way too much.)

5. i have a nocturnal petting zoo in my backyard. if your idea of "petting zoo" is "pet the cute black kitty with the white stripe down its back". yes, we sat down in the lounge while, at eye level, we watched the "cavalcade of wildlife" parade at eye level past the window. a possum (opossum?)... a skunk... i'm going to start charging admission for such entertainment.
