swingchickiei picked up the dudelet from the kennel at lunch and just brought him home. we're both sooo happy. it was a bummer to come home last night and find all his toys scattered around the house, and not hear him frolicking over the hardwoods as he chased them around. so we're both rather purry now that he's back with me. :)
working from home the rest of the day. i am so beat from that orlando trip, for so many reasons that aren't worth getting into... and the next couple of weeks at work are going to be pure hell. so i'm taking this rainy afternoon to be away from the office and crank through as much work as i can. nothing like working from home in your sweats, with a pot of coffee brewing in the kitchen. aaaah.
but first, because i can never stay away from a meme, i bring you: 29 things you didn't really need to know about me.
1. Explain what ended your last relationship.
i got tired of his excessive talking, his bad "romantic skillz", and his temper.
2. When was the last time you shaved?
um. this morning.
3. What were you doing this morning at 8 a.m.?
i'd already been in the office for 1/2 hour, and was prepping for a meeting i had to run.
4. What were you doing 15 minutes ago?
smooching a fuzzy kitty.
5. Are you any good at math?
i'm great at figuring out what a tip should be at a restaurant or the salon... anything else calls for a calculator.
6. Your prom night?
i went to several. senior year was awful... i dumped my boyfriend that night, as soon as it was over.
7. Do you have any famous ancestors?
i don't think so. i guess i'll have to work on becoming the famous one.
8. Have you had to take a loan out for school?
no, i was super-lucky... i got a full scholarship to college.
9. Do you know the words to the song on your myspace profile?
yup! although i won't have the profile much longer, i hate it there.
10. Last thing received in the mail?
junk, and a netflix movie that had snapped in half. bummer, i really wanted to see it.
11. How many different beverages have you had today?
one - diet coke.
12. Do you ever leave messages on people's answering machine?
sure i do. and some of my HUGE pet peeves are when someone doesn't leave a message on mine... or just says "call me" without saying why... or doesn't keep their machine turned on, so i have to keep calling them. grrrrrr!
13. Who did you lose your CONCERT virginity to?
oh god. the monkees, at great adventure theme park, in 1985. i screamed like a maniac.
14. Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?
nope. i hide under a big umbrella, covered in sunscreen, and occasionally run out to frolic a bit in the surf before i burst into flames.
15. What's the most painful dental procedure you've had?
pulling all 4 wisdom teeth. and those empty sockets after really freaked me out.
16. What is out your back door?
my awesome deck, and a full-on view of the front of my neighbor's house.
17. Any plans for Friday night?
grabbing dinner and vegging out.
18. Do you like what the ocean does to your hair?
well, if you think kramer from seinfeld is hot, then you'd LOVE to see me after a day at the beach.
19. Have you ever received one of those big tins of 3 different popcorns?
*barf* once. i don't talk to them anymore.
20. Have you ever been to a planetarium?
not in a long time.
21. Do you re-use towels after you shower?
sure, a couple of times.
22. Some things you are excited about?
having angus back home. halloween. dancin'. the 2 weeks of vacation i'm taking at the end of this year. AND, the 7 extra vacation days i found out i'm getting next year (w00t!!!!)
23. What is your favorite flavor of JELLO?
i hate jello so much. seriously. i never liked it, and then when i found out what's in it i hated it even more. now, jello PUDDING, that's another story...
24. Describe your keychain(s)?
it came with one of my purses... i got a purse made out of seatbelts from seatbeltbag.com, and they sent a seatbelt keychain that matched the bag.
25. Where do you keep your change?
mostly in my wallet... but i have a falling-apart ziploc bag full of pennies that i have had for years (i've moved it to 4 homes), that i've been too lazy to bring to the darn coinstar machine. there's probably like a dollar in there.
26. When was the last time you spoke in front of a large group of people?
yesterday, with my trainees.
27. What kind of winter coat do you own?
i have several. there's my big ugly shapeless gray one for when i have to shovel the driveway and don't care what i look like... then i have a wool belted jacket, and a blue and white houndstooth one with a white fur collar that's very 1960s.
28. What was the weather like on your graduation day?
drizzly. graduation was outdoors, and people had umbrellas in the stands... our speaker went on FOREVER, and when he finally said "in conclusion...", a stadium full of parents cheered.

open, so angus can come in & out.
