but this is actually a GOOD tired, the tired that says "i did stuff this weekend". yay!

let's see, what did i do (besides the previously-posted cargo shorts date)... saturday morning dad came over for his weekly "what can we fix in jenn's house" visit... in 3 hours, we posted my security system signs on the lawn, took my back door off its hinges and completely shaved down the edges (the previous owners painted it so thick that you couldn't open it, nice fire hazard)... camouflaged some wiring... and bought a desk at ikea. got lots accomplished, we're getting to the point where there's not much left we can do!

saturday night was my first jaunt to a piano bar. fun! got to meet the lovely sarcasmoscorner and croak out some tunes with the gang at the piano (i still don't have total control of my voice, damn laryngitis). AND, after a conversation with our group and the piano player, boutell and i came up with a fun hobby/side business idea that we're looking into... i'm keeping it secret for now, but i'll post in a few weeks once we do some explorin'. whee!

sunday morning: coffee out on the deck (*aaaaahhhhhhh*), breakfast at a local diner, and a cruise into the city in the gorgeous 85-degree weather (oops, forgot the sunscreen, have to remember that when i drive with the top down! i'm rather pink this morning). and then... the philly rollergirls! w00t!



last night's bout was the "heavy metal hookers" vs. the "hostile city honeys", and it was awesome. lots of girl-on-girl violence, with skaters crashing into the crowd left and right, skates whirling in the air and fishnets ripping.

most of us bailed on the all-skate afterwards, we were too tired. boutell and M were the tough ones and went out for a few laps.

Frankly - I very rarely wear makeup, so as far as I'm concerned, I ALWAYS look silly with it on. Like a 6 year old who found her Mom's makeup kit.
