"the devil wears prada" was darn entertaining. yes, i now want to lose 300 pounds and spend my life savings on couture... but besides throwing me headfirst into bulimia, it really was a fun movie. and i now have a new imaginary boyfriend -- simon baker. every time he came onscreen, i turned into a 14-year-old ball of hormonal mush. if any of you know him, could you give him my number? k, thx.

in other news, i got a lot of stuff done today. i now have a fun new techie toy, my brand-new security system... so no trying to break in, or it will go all *WEET WEET WEET* on your ass. then, dad and i hit lowe's, and came out with all sorts of fun homeowner-y things -- hedge clippers, a thing to keep my garden hose untangled, a rake, switchplates for every switch and outlet in the house. i came home $200 poorer, but well-equipped to tackle my yardwork this weekend.

back to work tomorrow... bleh. but tomorrow night i get to look forward to: sex dwarf! yay!

Doooood, I'm so with you! I think I peed a little bit at this line:

"I'm on this new diet. I don't eat anything, and just when I think I'm going to pass out, I eat a cube of cheese."

I looked at my boyfriend and said (through my tears of laughter), "It's funny because it's true!"

"6 is the new 14," indeed. Then my 10/12 ass is happily obese! A gal needs SOME curves ;-)

I thought I'd like the whole Bad Boss part the best (had a few Eeeevil female bosses in the past) but I ended up liking the clothes. Okay sure, it's a movie! but I thought, if she can look that homely at first then (with a team of hairstylist's, make-up artists, etc.) look that stunning in nice clothes, then maybe there's hope for me! Or maybe I'll stick with my shorts and T's!

What kind of switch plates? I am in the process of changing all of our switches to "Decora". I saw this type in Germany in '87 and have been in love with them every since.

Anyway, just curious. (Don't worry, I'm just obsessed with minute details of home decorating).

cool! i got brushed silver ones... i had looked at some major funky modern ones, but at $7 a plate i had to back away from the display. *chuckle*
