harry potter
Jun. 6th, 2004 08:46 amthe new harry potter movie was really good. saw it last night in a PACKED theater... it's almost 2&1/2 hours long, but it flew by. the only big complaint about the movie was that there wasn't any climactic fight scene like there usually is... but it's well worth seeing.
of course, though, it wouldn't be an outing for me if i didn't have something to rant about afterwards... 2 things pissed me off royally last night. first, there was a big group of high school students behind me, probably freshmen or so. and i can understand the effects of young excited energy and everything, but jesus, these girls talked an giggled at each other in full voice during the entire film. several people had to ask them to shut up, and it did nothing. if i weren't all the way in the row against the wall, i would have gotten the manager to kick them out.
THEN, halfway through the movie, all of a sudden i smelled feet... the older woman next to me had taken her shoes off, and had put her feet up on the seat in front of her! so i had her bare, smelly, gnarled feet in my line of vision for the rest of the film, and the poor people in the row in front of her had that smell right next to their heads. i was floored.
i really feel like i should be the manners police. like, i should have the special ability to just tell people when they're being rude or stupid. i'd feel so much better afterwards. *grin*
