i love dogs as much as the next person. i really do, i want to smooch every single one i see. but i cannot love your dog if you won't control it. i don't care if your dog wants to peer into my cat carrier when i'm at the kennel, and check angus out a little bit. that kind of curiosity is cute. but when your dog gets aggressive, and starts growling as he looks in, and you're wussily saying "now now [dog dame], stop that" and it won't stop and KEEPS GROWLING and freaking me and the cat out, then move the damn thing away from me. don't let it keep going! and then take some classes in how to control your animal.

also, as an FYI, while your dog is growling at me and my cat, it's not really a good idea to breezily tell me, "oh yeah, he hates cats... he was in a foster home for a while, and they had cats, and he terrorized them". i've got an idea -- why don't i let a child smack your dog around, while i tell you "oh yeah, he hates dogs, he terrorizes them", and see how fast you chew my ass out for not controlling my kid. why don't we try that.

he was so good, he just sort of scootched to the back of his carrier and stared the dog down. but if it had been monkey... she would have found a way to squeeze herself out of the grate and bolt.
