work has been insane since i got back yesterday. basically, in the one day i was off, a bunch of work i'd done last week was shot to all heck and i was told to completely re-do it yesterday and today. it created a lot of nastiness between my department and another, so it's been not only physically draining (7am-9pm workdays) but emotionally draining as well.

my neck and shoulders are solid rocks from the stress... jeez, how many days until the weekend???

ETA: wow, just saw this online and i am stunned by the coolness. if i were younger and thinner and braver and didn't have a corporate life and all that, i would die for a corset piercing. (scroll down to her 3rd and 4th pictures to see.) WOW.

hee! you must've missed the "if i were..." and then the 30 things listed after... that show i really am a wuss and there's no way i could do it. but i think it's beautiful. (in a "jenn would never have the guts to get this" way.)

Corset piercings are temporary...usually just for fun and they're kept in anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours. Ergo, if you have a day off you can have a corset piercing--and still keep your fancy corporate job ;)

really? i can't imagine how that could look good... when i did my navel years ago, it was so red and ouchy, it didn't look "non-red" for days.

I'm not sure how they get it to look so good, but the girl in the picture would have definitely gotten hers that way. The areas people get corset piercings on would reject them and cause infection if left in...so they're always temporary or "for play".

They're red and swollen until the initial shock of the piercing dies down. You use needles to get all the holes in the skin, and then add in the jewelry.

Its a very fun, and very temporary piercing.
