i need a new mix CD for the summer! i'm putting together some songs to crank in the car with the top down... and i have space for a few more songs, with an iTunes gift card burning a hole in my pocket. what songs remind you of summer? and it doesn't have to be "beach music", like the beach boys... just stuff that, when you hear it, reminds you of summertime for any reason.

Actually this song does bring back a great summer memory for me: I saw a disco cover band perform it at an outdoor music festival, and it started to rain, and it was cold, but everybody was dancing and rockin' out and it was awesome.

It's very depressing, but I always loved "Freshmen" by the Verve Pipe. I remember screaming the end of that song during one summer or two.
