been absolutely exhausted lately, i think it's because dating C has been throwing off my sleep schedule. we have completely opposite internal clocks -- i'm in bed by 10, up at 5am, he's usually in bed around 2 or 3am and up around 7. i'm up early in the morning on weekends to get stuff done, he sleeps in until noon (and then often naps again soon after). so what's happening is, he wants to talk until the wee hours of the morning, and then sleep all day on the weekends, and my sleep schedule gets thrown off for days. yesterday i was in an off-site class all day, and was just completely exhausted from adjusting to his schedule all weekend... by mid-afternoon, i was literally fighting to stay awake. for purely medicinal purposes, at the mid-afternoon break i ended up scarfing down a brownie that was roughly the size of a steven king paperback. and the sugar barely helped, by the time i got home at 5 i was desperate for a nap. which meant i couldn't fall asleep when it was time for bed last night. argh.

enough bitching for now, i'm sure i'll have plenty more later. :)

Adjusting to someone's schedule is so difficult.

WHen i first met kev, i was used to being up till 2-3 am and getting up at 7am too.

Last summer, kev and i spent every weekend up till 4-5 am talking. Then he would urge me to sleep in. I started getting used to it and until i met kevin, i had NEVER, NOT ONCE in my entire life, taken an afternoon nap.

Now, i'm in between his schedule and mine.

But i eat shitty ALL the time.. i'm not sure it's related for me. I'm just always hungry. lol

is there a compromise in there somewhere? tom and i have the same issue; his natural tendancy is late-nights and sleeping in, i'm more of an early-to-bed-early-to-rise; likely that's just habit from my job.

however, one cure-all for sleep discrepencies: have a kid. ;)

there needs to be, i just have to figure out how to address it this early on without seeming unromantic/really really old. he's just so energetic and EAGER about everything... a couple of weeks ago when we were hanging out and i fell asleep, he woke me up at 4am to make out. that's right, woke. me. up. which should be cute and romantic, but i was just pissed that i'd been roused out of a sound sleep. lol

OMG i'm so old and boring i would NOT be able to tolerate that - sleep is sooooo sacred!

i see your coffee intake increasing. in fact, i'm going to go buy some starbuck's stock right now!

god, i'm glad it's not just me!

i WISH coffee could help me... but i had to give up caffeinated coffee 'cause it hurts my tum-tum. meh.
