i can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel...

work is going to calm down in about a month... spring is coming, i can feel it getting a teeny bit warmer and it's daylight a little bit longer... i'm only 2 weeks away from my first real vacation in 20 years... and i'm down 3 pounds at the end of my first diet week. life is good. :)

even more interesting is that after a serious online dating drought, i have 2 guys who have a little bit of potential. one guy from eharmony seems really nice, is attractive and interesting... a bit too much of an age difference between us (he's 9 years older), and he goes to the gym EVERY day (a bit too much pressure for me, and i have a feeling he'll be bummed i don't look like a gym bunny)... but we'll see. the other guy is someone i wrote to this weekend on yahoo... i didn't hear back from him, and was ready to write him off... then he wrote to me today to tell me that before i'd even written to him, he'd actually saved MY profile to write to ME! hee! of course who knows how things will go in person... but at least this is a lot more than i had a few weeks ago!
