weekly weigh-in
Nov. 24th, 2008 07:03 amstarting weight: 182
current weight: 167
loss this week: 1
loss to date: 15
i was so happy to see that 15th lost pound registered on the scale this morning, i fully expected to see the same number as last week. i think logging everything in my tracker really helped -- i counted every extra point for the snax i ate at the training center, so when the weekend came i knew exactly how many points i had left to play with and adjusted my food choices accordingly. and of course a couple of good hooping sessions didn't hurt either. :)
obviously i'm going to have a challenge this week with thanksgiving. especially because it's at jack's mom's place, so i have to make sure i handle things well. not that i'm going to pile my plate with candied yams out of obligation, but i also don't want to have just a slice of turkey and some steamed veggies and say "i'm on weight watchers". i want to enjoy the meal without completely screwing things up. i think the key will be "being choiceful" -- choosing not to have candied yams because i'd rather have a slice of pumpkin pie, for instance. or having mashed potatoes, but choosing to not overload them with butter. i think i'll be in good shape.
and of course i should hoop this week like there's no tomorrow... that'll burn a handful of points that should come in handy. :)
recipes i've crock-potted for the week to get me by: dijon pork loin, and beef with pasta. one of jack's co-workers is a WW lifetime member and she e-mailed me a slew of WW crockpot recipes, seriously there have to be around a hundred in this file... she's my lifesaver. if anyone wants them, let me know and i'll e-mail them to you. ( the two recipes i made this week are under the cut if you want them: )
