swingchickie: (kikkoman)

something about it just drives me nuts. it just feels like the barilla ad folks were like, "okay, our target demographic is women... what do women like? kids! gorgeous metrosexual men! gorgeous metrosexual men who loooove kids! and of course, they love to cook!" and then they make this insipid ad like it's some sort of baby- and man-hungry single-girl porn. makes me gag every time i see it.

anyway. hi! thanks to the folks who sent me good vibes yesterday, i'm in a much cheerier mood today. :) now if only i could get rid of this dizziness that i've had since i woke this morning... got anything for that?

so, over the past few days i've been getting back in touch with many of my kuwait middle school friends... the replies back have had 2 consistent themes: 1. everyone replies calling me "jenny" (what i was known as up until college, hee!), and 2. almost everyone says "how could i forget that red hair?" what i'd totally forgotten is that, literally, we were one of 2 families that i knew of in all of kuwait who were redheads. in a middle eastern country where everyone has black or brown hair, and the europeans working over there are mostly blonde, being a redhead was like having an extra arm coming out of your chest. when my mom, brother and i (all red) were out, people would literally stop in their tracks and watch us walk by.

too funny.

my dizziness from this morning has gone away... i wonder if my blood sugar was off when i woke up. when i was getting ready for bed last night, i was starving... tummy growling loudly, the whole bit. i'd had a full dinner out though, so i didn't want to eat at 11pm. i'm guessing that my hunger, coupled with 7 hours of sleep, added up to a massive blood sugar dip. good to remember.
